Ian Long, Director of Product Development

Ian Long joined MSI in 2008 as the Director of Projects with the Product Development team.  In this role, Ian directs the Product Development staff in areas of strategic planning and project management. This includes the facilitation of work within the Development, QA and Product Managers.  Additionally, Ian serves as liaison in the coordination of activities between Product development and other departments providing valuable project details, timeline and project information for MSI clients.

Prior to joining MSI, Ian spent 10 years consulting, with a focus on infrastructure architecture. Ian also spent time as a manager in the application service provision (ASP) and enterprise technology management industry.   Working for large corporations like Accenture and IBM, Ian has based his career on bridging the gap between business direction and cutting the edge technology.
Ian holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden CO.

Ian, his wife and two daughters reside in Peoria, Arizona.  When not at MSI Ian enjoys endurance athletic events, cycling, running, and hiking/camping with my family.  He also enjoys mentoring high school students through his church and traveling to Mexico building homes for the impoverished.
