Robert Bansfield

Robert began his career in the hospitality industry while in high school. Graduating from Western Illinois University with a BS degree in Education, Bob returned to the hotel industry and furthered his knowledge of hotel operations. He worked almost every hotel position and was promoted to Assistant General Manger.

Bob joined Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 1984 as a member of their Information Technology organization. Beginning his IT career at the entry-level position in the customer support services team Bob believes every IT associate should spend time working in a support capacity. The education and experiences from working support are invaluable and can be applied to all positions.

Responsibility increased as Bob was promoted to Vice President, leading the Hyatt Solutions Delivery team, providing services and solutions while serving 90,000+ associates in corporate headquarters, regional offices and 375+ hotels world-wide. He took on the challenge and led the IT team in the deployment of Hyatt Place. Hyatt received the 2009 Technology Innovation Award from Hospitality Technology magazine for its success in Hyatt Place.

Bob’s long hospitality career continues now with MSI as he joins MSI at its Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing. Bob will use his track record of success and excellent customer service combined with being a results-driven leader who builds bridges between IT and its business customers. Bob will continue to reside in Palatine, IL with his wife, Jan, and their three sons.
