The joint effort is the first of its kind bringing together a faith based organization - Open Table, government - the City of Phoenix and a corporation – MSI to create sustainable families. MSI will serve as the first corporation to sponsor and manage a table.

Open Table acts as a team of life specialists and supporters, who work together with a homeless person/family being helped to overcome the obstacles that can hinder self-sufficiency. Those obstacles can include limited access to health care, housing, employment, legal matters and education, to name just a few.

Breaking down the barriers is what Open Table members do best. They leverage their connections and services to create a step-by-step economic stability and wholeness plan for the person/family. The goals are attained through an ongoing management process, as well as by drawing on resources from the corporations, city agencies, personal networks and solutions already created by other Open Table groups.

The table’s journey can last up to two years, however, the end result replaces poverty maintenance leading to self-sufficiency. Join the MSI table’s journey by following our
