Barbara Simmons, Implementation Support Specialist

It has been fourteen years
since Barbara began working with Multi-Systems, Inc., bringing with her
over eight years of experience working in the hotel industry. She has been
employed in the areas of housekeeping, front desk management, and night
audit, leading to the installation and support of many property management
systems.
Currently, Barbara is involved with several departments, and has held the
positions of CAC Support Specialist, 2nd Level Support Technician, and
Interface Product Manager. She has now found a home with the
Implementation Team and supports the day-to-day needs of all the MSI
Trainers.

Rick Rivera, Implementation Support Specialist

With 12 years of
valuable experience in hotels ranging from Banquet Server to Revenue
Manager,
and
a whole lot in between,
Rick
joined MSI as a Training & Installation Specialist in 2003. As part of
the rollout team installing WinPM for Prime Hospitality, he was one of
the first trainers to use MSI’s DOS PM to WinPM data conversion tool.
Later, Rick was among the first to install the 2-way CRS interface for
Best Western. After more than 120 installations, he moved into his
current role in the Training Department assisting his fellow Trainers
with technical support.
When not spending time
with his two dogs, Bruno & Gidget, Rick enjoys restoring his 1973
Porsche, hiking through & photographing Arizona’s spectacular natural
beauty, and listening to his 600+ collection of vinyl record albums.

Polli
Hubbard, Implementation Coordinator

Polli Hubbard joined MSI in
late 1998 as a Customer Service Technician. She left in 2001 for a side
trip on life’s journey to New Hampshire. After a brief interim, she
returned to MSI in 2004 to work in the Customer Assistance Center. Along
with her technical duties, she teaches customer service phone-skills to
new hires, and was instrumental in creating the new position of
Pre-implementation Coordinator.
Polli has an extensive background in customer service. She retired from
the historical "Telephone Company" after working 25 years for various Bell
Operating Companies around the country. Polli's experience extends into
management, collections, employee motivation, and public relations. After
retiring, she started a second career where she worked as crew and sales
for a Wind Jammer company that sails expeditions in upper Lake Michigan
and Canada. She then ran the front desk at Zion National Park near the
Grand Canyon in Arizona. Her hospitality career also includes working
several positions at independent hotels. Polli has lived in Arizona,
Maryland, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
Originally from Minnesota, Polli now lives in Chandler with her geriatric
dog, Luci B. (15), and cat Sophi (19). Her spare time is spent reading,
going to the gym, walking dogs, and sharing a home with long-time friends. Polli plays an active role in MSI’s “Humanities Committee” and
additionally, does volunteer work with several agencies that are related
to her love of animals.

Elizabeth
Peterson, A/R Supervisor

Liz has over 18 years of
combined experience in the hospitality and accounting fields through
employment with Marriott, Holiday Inn, and Hilton. Liz joined MSI in 1997
as a Training & Installation Specialist and moved to the Accounting
Department as Accounts Receivable Supervisor in 2001. A native of
Michigan, Liz resides in Glendale with her husband, Kent, their three
children, and two dogs. In her spare time, Liz enjoys volleyball,
traveling, and volunteering for community events.

Ray Shelley, Manager of
PDC

Ray joined MSI in June 2001 as Director of Technical
Support and Services. In his current position as PDC Manager, Ray is responsible
for the configuration and shipment of outbound systems. Prior to coming
to MSI, Ray was the Senior Systems Analyst at Choice Hotels
International, and involved with the roll out of their Windows Property
Management System to over 2600 hotels.
Ray spent 15 years in the U.S. Marine Corps in a number of
administrative and technical roles. A native of Phoenix, AZ, Ray resides
in Surprise with his wife, Barbara, and their two children, Nathan and
Nicole.
