Multi-Systems, Inc. Announces Key
Management Changes
PHOENIX – February 13, 2007 – Multi-Systems, Inc.
(MSI) is committed to serving the hospitality industry by providing
innovative technology and superior service that enhances guest loyalty
and promotes profitability. To help achieve this mission, MSI announces
several key changes in the company’s senior management.
MSI President Tim Tiller, MSW said, “Multi-Systems, Inc. is continuously
growing and these management changes represent some great steps for the
company. We have put together a very dynamic and talented team to take
MSI’s products and services to the next level.”
Glen Long has been hired to fill MSI's new position of Vice
President of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Long will oversee sales,
account management and marketing for North America. Long has more than
30 years of corporate technology and lodging industry experience, of
which 17 years was devoted to building and managing regional and
national sales organizations. Long has personally closed over $140MM in
long-term complex I/T outsourcing contracts for companies like IBM, SMS
and United Messaging. Most recently as the owner of a newly constructed
Best Western in Chester, Calif., Long immersed himself in the property’s
day-to-day operations including design, construction and operations. He
became familiar with MSI during the search for the hotel's property
management system and has been an MSI end-user since the property
opened. This unique experience and external interaction with the MSI
organization will provide a great foundation as he works side by side
with MSI's sales teams.
Rick Bennett has been promoted to Vice President of Product
Integration. In this new role, Bennett is responsible for ensuring
effective internal communications throughout MSI’s product's life cycle.
He will ensure that all of the information required to make a project
successful is communicated from conception to post-installation. He also
has full responsibility for the overall information management of MSI's
new product and software releases and for the product distribution
center. Bennett will work with the MSI team to improve its existing
system's configurations process and to ensure systems are being shipped
with the most accurate configurations and the most current software.
Bennett joined MSI in 1992 and has been a member of customer support,
product distribution, quality assurance, second-level support and
development. Prior to MSI, Bennett worked in customer support for
Rutherford and Associates and as a Night Auditor while attending the
University of New Mexico.
David Kantrud has been promoted to Vice President of Software
Engineering. In his new role, he will be responsible for the day-to-day
leadership of MSI's development team. In addition, he will work closely
with each department to ensure that the company is providing products
and services that exceed customer's expectations. Kantrud began his
career with MSI in 2004 as a senior developer and has been a leader on
many of the company’s products. Prior to joining MSI, he was a software
engineer with Pegasus Solutions where his work included: Netbooker,
WinAI, PegsCentral, and other hospitality applications and web sites.
Prior to Pegasus Solutions, Kantrud worked as a programmer for
Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auctions and the Arizona Department of
Economic Security. Kantrud graduated from Arizona State University with
a BS in Computer Information Systems, and he holds an array of technical
certifications including Microsoft Certified Solution Developer,
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and Microsoft Certified
Application Developer.
Marc Voirol has been promoted to Director of Account Management.
Since joining MSI’s Customer Assistance Center in 2000, Voirol has
filled many positions at the company. He was also chosen for the Manager
of the Year award in 2006 by MSI associates. Prior to joining MSI,
Voirol spent eight years working in the lodging industry and gained
experience in all aspects of the hotel industry by working in positions
ranging from guest service associate to general manager.
Kim Anglin has been promoted to Director of Training. In her six
months with MSI, she has proven her ability to lead the training team.
She will ensure the training team provides a high-quality training,
installation and post-support experience to customers. Most recently,
Anglin was the PM Implementation Manager, at Pegasus Solutions, where
she managed the implementation and training teams for all PM products
and Cendant, where Anglin worked on the Project PowerUp Management team
and at the close of that project, was the PM Product Manager for all
