I just got off the phone with Marcus who was assigned by Greg to troubleshoot the issue with the card reader.
As I suspected, the profile for the node was corrupted, and when Marcus expertly reassigned the node to a new profile, the card reader worked perfectly. Marcus was extremely patient and professional grappling with either firewall or antivirus issues that hindered his work, but he soldiered on until the task was complete. He then stayed on the line and watched the remote desktop as I repeatedly tested different scenarios with my credit card. I know an issue like this seems minor compared to a system downtime, but I promised my agents that we would solve this challenge which makes registration difficult for them if they must manually enter each and every credit card through the keyboard. Furthermore, there was concern that the garbled data might corrupt guest files and cause system crashes. I would also like to express my appreciation to Warren for taking time on Sunday to assist with the swapping out of the dead PC with the new one. There is no way that he could have known at the time that the profile to which he was assigning the new PC was corrupted and given the crush of arrivals over the holiday weekend. We were grateful to have that node, even if it was not completely operational.
I look forward to Annette Martin's proposal for the WinPM upgrade along with her estimate on the availability of an install team so that we can plan for a smooth transition to a more advanced technology. It is 2:30 a.m. in the east, but I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the dedication of your staff. Thank you.

I need to personally thank you and your staff again. Melody and Chris just saved my day. Our Credit Card modem failed to initialize when we were trying to post payments and authorizations for all our Daytona 500 arrivals today. The lobby was getting backed up and your staff responded promptly and fixed it in no time at all. I could have had an angry mob in the lobby but the resolution speed of your staff prevented that. Your company has the best service I have ever seen in my 20 years managing hotels in the Daytona Beach area. Thanks again!

Just a short note to express my gratitude for the support one of your employees has given me each time I have had to call. Fortunately, I have had to call the support line only twice during my tenure here at the Wingate by Wyndham Scottsdale, and luckily for me, I have spoken to Andrea Oson both times. She was professional and adept in her diagnosis and resolution to my problem. I have had dealings with other “support” and “call center” staff, and it is always a pleasant surprise when I receive assistance from someone with personality and knowledge that Andrea
displayed, instead of having someone read of a predetermined “script”!! If all of your support staff were as intelligent and helpful as Andrea, then I might try to find things wrong with the system just to experience how a true HELP DESK operates! Once again, kudos and my sincere thanks to Andrea (and to Matt who also assisted in the last call) - an example of support at its BEST!!!

I just wanted to take a moment and share with you the feedback I have received from my staff about Joni, during the recent hardware upgrade at the Prescott Resort. My controller, Suzan Doran, said “Joni was very calm and effective and was extremely diligent and responsive. When she was advised of the data drops, she really went to task trying to isolate the problem and calling other techs for suggestions. She verified all install locations prior to install, and made suggestions for better efficiencies. Very nice personality, helpful, and an overall good representative of MSI”. My front office manager, Robert Rutty, said “Steve, I felt she was outstanding”. I personally experienced Joni taking the time to assist a guest in their room who was having problems logging on from their laptop. In my opinion that is going above and beyond her scope of work. You should know that Joni is a great ambassador of your company and I hope she is properly recognized for her efforts.

Two weeks ago the hard drive in my server died. Your staff (Jared Bunts, Nathan Peckenpaugh among many others whom I do not know the names of) had my system functional within a 36 hour period (it would have been sooner had IBM been quicker with the parts and Service Rep) and have diligently worked on getting all of the little kinks worked out since. I have been called several times and followed up with on the different areas of concern and have had most of the issues resolved. Let me say thank you and well done!

When agreeing to become the first beta property for the two-way interface, I knew there would be wrinkles in the system to iron out. If you spend hard earned money for this MSI comprehensive two-way Interface, you do yourself, your reputation and your hotel’s potential revenue a disservice by not using it to it’s fullest extent. Success beyond expectations is spelled Yield Management. If you aren’t actively involved in the capabilities of the MSI system, you will waste the money spent and leave money on the table that should be yours. It’s a beautiful system and I don’t know why any hotel wouldn’t use it to it’s fullest potential.
